After weeks of deliberating, I’ve decided that The Emerald City Supporters win theEndline’s 2011 MLS Tifo of the Year with their “Decades of Dominance” tifo from their derby match with the Portland Timbers. This week’s theEndline MLS Tifo of the Week goes to the joint efforts of the District Ultras and La Norte over in DC on October 19 versus the Portland Timbers. Really, they had some great tifo, with some absolutely amazing artwork! I love the eagle and the flags, such great work! They had 2 matches in three days, and also had a great display on 10/22 against Kansas, very great work here as well. (I’m told that on 10/19, the District Ultras took the lead, while on the 21st, La Norte took the lead.) Read the rest of this entry »

While Week 31 had no tifo that I could find, it seems everyone was saving up for Week 32! Sheesh! There were three really good tifo displays across the MLS, and it was really hard to narrow it down to just one. But, after much wrestling with, I’ve decided that theEndline MLS Tifo of the Week for Week 32 will be awarded to the PID Army of the Colorado Rapids.

This week’s MLS Tifo of the Week goes to the Emerald City Supporters for their great tifo in the Lamar Hunt US Open Cup Final. It portrays the previous USOC championships as graves of D.C. United and Columbus Crew, and then the 2011 Final showing a Chicago flag draping the Chicago Fire in their coffin. And finally the grim reaper appears as a Sounder, with ECS as it’s sickle. This week’s MLS tifo of the week goes to the Emerald City Supporters for their away display in Vancouver this weekend. It’s really great to see what’s happening up in the Pacific Northwest with the rivalries of old being renewed in the MLS. The tifo reads, “We predict a riot.” A nod to the Stanley Cup Finals riots that Vancouver endured. It also features the Sounders MVP candidate Mauro Rosales.

This week’s MLS Tifo of the Week goes to the boys and girls in the Nordecke up in Columbus. Their #ThinkMassive hashtag has been teasing for weeks that there was something big coming, and they didn’t disappoint. It reads, “Because of Columbus, You are Here.” Great job on the tifo guys!

Due to Hurricane Irene and then the International Break, there wasn’t much tifo in the MLS the last two weeks, so instead, I’m giving  a nod, and TheEndline MLS Tifo of the Week, to something that happened back on 8/13. This was the 10th Anniversary of La Norte, a smaller of the DC United Supporters groups. They may not have the numbers of some of the larger groups, but this is some great tifo! This week’s MLS Tifo of the Week goes to the Angel City Brigade for their very funny tifo vs. the San Jose Earthquakes. I loved the idea on this tifo, the Smurfs (Earthquakes) running around doing nothing while Mike Magee is in goal. Pretty obvious and very funny tifo! Catch more pics and the video after the break.

This week’s MLS Tifo of the Week goes to the Emerald City Supporters, with their funny two-pole honoring their overachieving midfielder, Mauro Rosales. It might be that I’m a child of the late 80′s early 90′s and still can remembering wasting hours and hours of my life playing 8-bit Super Mario Bros., but I found this tifo really clever and funny.
