Landon Donovan will be on the cover of EA Sports’ FIFA Soccer 11 game in North America. Joining World Cover athlete Kaka on the cover in North America will also be Carlos Vela of Arsenal and the Mexican National Team. Landon will be on the Late Night with Jimmy Fallon tonight to play the game that is set to drop on September 28th, 2010.

Manchester City look set to continue their summer spending spree as manager Roberto Mancini revealed that he is trying to sign USA international Landon Donovan.
The club have already signed David Silva, Yaya Toure and Jerome Boateng for a total of over £50 million and have now targeted the former Everton winger, after he impressed in the Premier League in 2009-10.

While most of us were busy watching the World Cup Quarterfinals and having Bar-B-Q’s over the fourth of July, MLS had a busy weekend full of games. The much hyped return of Landon Donovan ( and don’t forget underutilized Edson Buddle) to the Galaxy finished off a weekend full of fireworks.

The guy scores a few goals at the World Cup, gives a shout out to his ex-wife after a big win and allegedly knocks up a British chick. All that gets you on Letterman, Regis & Kelly, The Early Show, MTV, a visit to MLS headquarters and another opportunity to ring the bell at the New York Stock Exchange.

Landon Donovan is a busy man right now. After whooping up on the Sounders last weekend he headed over to Jimmy Kimmel Live to chat about playing with David Beckham, the Galaxy and the World Cup. He even somehow found time to shoot a World Cup ad for Flo TV and do motion capture animation for the FIFA World Cup 2010 South Africa video game.

Landon Donovan was voted the MLS Player of the Week following his one goal, three assist performance against the Seattle Sounders on Saturday. Landon scored his first goal of the season while increasing his assist total to nine.
