Xabi Alonso scored in the 72nd minute as Real Madrid rallied to beat the Los Angeles Galaxy 3-2 Saturday and complete an undefeated preseason trip through California.
Gonzalo Higuain scored two goals in the space of 10 minutes for Real Madrid in front of 89,134 at the Rose Bowl.

When I saw the starting lineup for the LA Galaxy I fixated on the fact that both Landon Donovan and Edson Buddle were named in the starting eleven. I figured LA came to play and we would see another MLS win on the night. Wow, was I wrong! What I didn’t even consider was the was the defense for LA, they’ve been so solid all year that I didn’t give it another thought. I guess missing Omar Gonzalez and Donovan Ricketts is that big a deal for them. Embarrassing result for the Galaxy and the league to say the least.
