Sierra Leone forward Kei Kamara opened the scoring for Wizards in the 21st minute after heading in a Ryan Smith cross past Salt Lake keeper Nick Rimando from 12 meters.
Findley equalized in the 33rd, nodding home a long cross from Robbie Russell.

With the rain was coming down in Kansas City it made the field slick and fast. Those conditions made for some interesting situations and lots of scoring opportunities. The Fire jumped out to the early lead but the Wizards had a major gripe when a Davy Arnaud goal was called back.
