Montero, Fernandez boost Seattle 2-0 over Dynamo
If all you caught were the first 30 minutes of Sunday’s matchup between Houston
and Seattle, you would be forgiven for thinking that the Dynamo was in control of the
match. The Sounders were playing on their heels, allowing Houston to dictate the pace of
the game, not unlike the Sounders team we saw in May and June.
Seattle earned four yellow cards by the end of the match and despite allowing
several dangerous runs into their backfield while offering Houston three early corners,
Seattle was able to …

HOUSTON – Morelia traveled to Houston and secured a 1-0 semifinal victory against the Dynamo to secure a spot in the SuperLiga final in a spirited battle on Thursday night.
Morelia had several chances early to get out to an early lead, but forward Miguel Sabah failed to convert any of the chances.
In the 14th minute, after a Brian Mullan turnover, the ball quickly found Sabah just inside the penalty spot, but his effort went over the bar.
Four minutes from the half, a deflection found its way to Sabah again near …

In the sixth minute, Cvitanich was one-on-one with Tally Hall, but was stoned by the Dynamo ‘keeper. In the 14th minute, Cvitanich …

Robbie Findley scored his first goal of the season on Thursday night as the defending champions rolled over the Dynamo. It’s kind of crazy that Bob Bradley called in a forward that hadn’t scored yet. I guess Findley just needs his coaches to have confidence in him. Costa Rican Alvaro Saborio scored a brace to bring his goal tally to 4 on the year.
Scoring:
RSL — Robbie Findley 1 (Kyle Beckerman 2) 3
RSL — Alvaro Saborio 3 (Javier Morales 3) 24
RSL — Alvaro Saborio 4 (Javier Morales 4) 60
HOU — Brian …
