The Sounders hosted Chivas USA on Wednesday night at Starfire Sports Stadium in Tukwila, WA for the second US Open Cup semi-final of the evening. The Sounders were looking to defend their 2009 US Open Cup championship while Chivas USA were looking to get their first trophy and salvage an MLS campaign that has them last in the Western Conference.

It felt like the Sounders of old as the boys in Electricity had chances but couldn’t finish in tonight’s CONCACAF Champions League match. BAYAMON, Puerto Rico – The Puerto Rico Islanders ended their six-game winless streak at home in the CONCACAF Champions League, getting a pair of first-half goals by Jonathan Fana and beating CD FAS 4-1.
It was first victory by the Islanders since defeating Cruz Azul in the first leg of the semifinals two seasons ago. It was only their third victory in their last seven matches, including a 4-1 victory over the Los Angeles Galaxy in the Preliminary Round.
