David Ferreira converted a penalty kick in the 75th minute to give FC Dallas a 2-2 draw with Inter Milan on Thursday night as Inter completed a three-game North American exhibition tour under new coach Rafael Benitez.
Samuel Eto’o scored from 30 yards out in the 63rd minute for Inter’s 2-1 lead in a game played in 98-degree heat.
However, Dallas sub Jeff Cunningham dribbled into the penalty area and was taken down by Marco Materazzi. Ferreira scored the tying goal into the upper right corner past Julio Cesar.
Inter took the …

Miguel Montaño got his first MLS start on Sunday evening against FC Dallas and he didn’t disappoint… until the 56th minute. In what was a great first half for the 19 year old winger, his second half ended prematurely with a red card in the 56th minute. It’s tough to tell in the replays if Montaño actually hit Brek Shea, but Montaño told DT that he never touched him. I know that people try to compare Montaño to Cristiano Ronaldo…. and you can’t realy blame them. From his …

David Ferreira of Dallas and Chicago’s Brian McBride scored in the first half, before their MLS clash petered out to a lifeless 1-1 draw on Thursday.
The game featured only five shots, three by Chicago. Dallas had the only shot in the second half.
Dallas went ahead in the sixth minute when Colombian playmaker Ferreira ran onto a long looping ball.
The tracking defender stumbled, Ferreira dribbled around him then sidestepped another and shot into the top left corner past Fire goalkeeper Andrew Dykstra.
The equalizer came when Justin Mapp played a long …

DAL – Brek Shea 1 (Atiba Harris 1, Jeff Cunningham 1) 13
PHI — Danny Mwanga 1 (unassisted) 93+
Misconduct Summary:
PHI — Roger Torres (caution; Reckless Foul) 62

Jeff Cunningham scored the game winner against DC United in an effort to show Bob Bradley that he can still contribute to the U.S national team. I think it’s too little, too late as it seems that Edson Buddle and Herculez Gomes have passed him in the pecking order. It’s crazy to think that if the World Cup was played in December that Cunningham and Robbie Findley would have been competing for spots. Now it’s Buddle and Gomez. It’s all about getting hot at the right time.
Kevin Hartman gets the …

Revs fans were 58 people away from not being able to make fun of FC Dallas fans for their lack of attendance on Saturday. In 75 degree weather the Revs were only able to draw 10, 057 fans to The Razor. Although, I can’t fault people for not showing up. A 1-1 tie against win-less FC Dallas on a plastic pitch and a misconduct summary that’s six times longer than the scoring summary isn’t exactly the greatest way to spend a Saturday. Click here for the match recap. And by …

The referees in MLS keep giving away PK’s like candy on Halloween.
More highlights can be seen here and here.
FRISCO, Texas—Entering FC Dallas’ game with the Seattle Sounders on Thursday, Jeff Cunningham had yet to score from the run of play this year. Two penalties on the night didn’t change that stat, but they did earn FCD a 2-2 draw.
The second spotkick came in the 94th minute, after rookie sub Jason Yeisley was taken down in the Seattle area. The Sounders got goals Steve Zakuani and Fredy Montero, who blasted in …
