The Endline’s Footy Guide for August 21st-23rd

As the Premiership enters it’s 2nd week, the Bundesliga kicked off today with Bayern Munich hosting VFL Wolfsberg. Munich got the 3 points, but it took Bastian Schweinsteiger to get the injury time winner as Bayern begin their title defense. I’m actually getting excited with the recent rise of German football (I lived in Germany for 12yrs) and I’m thinking we could see a shift in power in the next 2 years as the Bundesliga could well surpass (In my opinion)… Dare I say it, …

EPL: Liverpool vs Arsenal Highlights

ESPN Soccernet:
Jose Reina’s late howler enabled Arsenal to snatch a draw from a thrilling Premier League opener at 10-man Liverpool.
The Liverpool goalkeeper saw the ball rebound off him after Marouane Chamakh had hit the post in the final minute at Anfield to cancel out a David Ngog strike.
The goal was reward for a late spell of Arsenal pressure but it was unfortunate for Liverpool, who had survived most of the second half unscathed after the sending off of Joe Cole.
The big-name summer signing from Chelsea was dismissed on …
