MLS announced today that they sold their soul for another 4 years. The original 10 year exclusive agreement with MLS was signed in 2004 and set to expire in 2014. Today’s contract extension binds the two companies for an additional 4 years until 2018.

Saturday’s match is a game that will haunt Freddie Ljungberg. In his first game at
Qwest Field since being dealt to the Chicago Fire, the Swede’s new team was only two
minutes from snatching a point on the road against Seattle. A last minute header by Fredy
Montero bounced past Chicago’s rookie goalkeeper, spoiling Ljungberg’s return while
posting a 2-1 victory for the Rave Green.

Promoted club Kaiserslautern scored twice within 66 seconds in the first half to upset reigning Bundesliga champion Bayern Munich 2-0 Friday night and remain undefeated in the season.
Ivo Ilicevic opened the scoring in the 36th minute and Srdjan Lakic made it 2-0 a minute later as Kaiserslautern improved to a perfect six points on top of the Bundesliga after two rounds.
